Kali is very affectionate, she loves being stroked & getting belly rubs. She’s still a bit nervous and submissive but still such a happy girl. Champ has now been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is best suited to someone who has experience with larger breed dogs and who will enjoy giving him plenty of exercise as huskies are active dogs . During his stay with us, he has become one of the centres favourite gentle giants. He loves to play and has very puppy like behaviour so daily training with him is essential which his new family will need to continue with him.

Daphne is full of life and outgoing, when you first meet her she may be a little shy but she soon bursts out of her shell and you get to see the giddy girl she is. However Velma is very nervous, it takes a lot longer than Daphne for her to come out of her shell.

They live in a recently refurbished bungalow which has a lovely safe and secure rear garden. They love walking and like nothing better than having a dog to share this with. Simon is good with other dogs, he hasn’t lived with children, but we feel he would be OK with dog-savvy older children, aged 12+. He also cannot live with cats or small furries, as he does enjoy to chase when out and about. Lassieis starting to settle with regular members of staff. She is a lovely dog, but you can see she has led a sheltered life and likely has had little in the way of socialisation as a puppy.
Likewise, they have not been exposed to general household items, hoovers, tv’s and suchlike, they generally adapt quickly but will need time to adjust to these new experiences. Both of these lovely ladies are very sweet and have gorgeous personalities but are looking for a home with owners who are able to be patient and understanding to continue their training and socialisation. We have this beautiful boy who is looking for a forever home.

Don’t let his grey facial hair lead you to think he’s anything but full of energy. His owner asked to sign Champ over as he was going to be in hospital for some time. Orla was a little nervous when she arrived at WAW back in 2021 but now she is confident, playful and very funny.

I was the proud owner of my beautiful dog "Oliver" he was a Bullmastiff. I have been tempted several times to get another dog but the time has never felt right. As I adore dogs so much and love spending time with them, I was always asked to look after my family and friends dogs as they felt that they could trust me to love and care for their beloved dogs. Thus, they could then enjoy their holiday with peace of mind.
